Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Gorilla Trekking Safari
Why Bwindi?
Hidden in the misty highlands of southwestern Uganda, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is one of Africa’s most enchanting wilderness areas. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it shelters nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, making it one of the best places on earth to experience these gentle giants up close.
But Bwindi is more than gorillas. Its dense rainforest, often cloaked in swirling mist, offers rare birdsong, cascading streams, and a chance to step into a primeval world where every path feels like an expedition.

Your Journey
Day 1 – Arrival in Uganda
Arrive at Entebbe or Kampala, where our team welcomes you with a warm smile. Settle into your hotel and rest—your adventure begins tomorrow.
Day 2 – Into the Highlands
Set out early for the drive to Bwindi. Along the way, pause at the Equator for a photo and enjoy a cultural stop at the Igongo Cultural Centre. By evening, you’ll arrive in Bwindi, greeted by cool mountain air and the sound of forest crickets. Check into your lodge and unwind with dinner overlooking the jungle.
Day 3 – The Gorilla Trekking Experience
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing. Then, step into the forest with your guide, weaving through dense vines and mist-shrouded trails. The trek can take 2–8 hours, but the reward is unforgettable: watching a mountain gorilla family in their natural habitat. Spend up to one sacred hour observing their playful young, watchful mothers, and powerful silverback leader. Return to your lodge to relax and relive the day over dinner.
Day 4 – Community & Culture
Today offers a slower pace. Visit the Batwa community (the forest’s first people) and learn about their traditions, music, and way of life. Afterward, enjoy lunch and spend the afternoon at leisure, perhaps with a nature walk or quiet reflection on your lodge’s veranda.
Day 5 – Return Journey
After breakfast, begin your drive back to Entebbe or Kampala. Along the way, stop at Lake Mburo National Park for a short game drive or boat ride. Arrive in the evening, in time for your onward flight or overnight stay.
